Job description

Freeman Court is an independent living facility for older people, in the heart of Te Awamutu, part of the charity Habitat for Humanity Central Region. 
Up to 35 people choose to live here without the stress of managing a household – we take care of meals, cleaning, laundry and are here 24-hours to help reassure and support residents.

Our team and residents take pride in the quality of our facility – it’ s clean, light, bright and a friendly and supportive atmosphere where residents are supported to continue being as independent as they can.

We’ re seeking someone to work mornings evenings and nights, on rostered shifts. Sole charge night tasks include laundry, food preparation and set up, cleaning and responding to residents’ needs. It’ s essential that you enjoy working with older people and are physically fit.

This would suit someone who lives locally, A high level of positive communication is a must. An aged care qualification and current first aid certificate preferred. However training will be given Please note, this is not a nursing role.
